The Bali Surf House was opened in 2009 and has produced many stories of amazing friendships, fun hang outs, surfing & mission trips - all based upon loving people & loving God. Paula set up & pioneered the international guesthouse after leaving California & meeting the Global Church crew in Bali who she then partnered with in starting their Surf Ministry. Since then many people have come & found a safe place to encounter & experience God & surf their brains out at Uluwatu, Bingin, Airports & Balangan! Paula's generous spirit & pursuit in following Jesus has impacted many lives & made disciples who continues to thrive all around the world.
Last season
In January 2017 Paula was joined by Mel from the UK to come & explore together the future possibilities for the Surf House. God brought them into contact quite amazingly with perfect timing & although thousands of miles apart both had the same heart & vision. While travelling in J-Bay in her early twenties Mel had experienced a Surf Hostel that impacted her hugely, a family there demonstrated following Jesus & loving people in an extraordinary way. Since then God has led her on a journey of faith where she loves to build christian community which reveals more of who God is & feels like family.

God brought them into contact quite amazingly with perfect timing & although thousands of miles apart both had the same heart & vision to build community which reveals more of who God is & feels like family amongst an international & local surf community.
In 2018 Paula & Mel moved to Canggu & left behind our smaller surf house home in the Bukit near Balangan, Bingin & Ulu's. Canggu offered more opportunity by joining together with 'Krik Bali' run by an awesome group of Norwegians, a bigger house with cafe (sleeping 50), conference space, skate ramp, pool & wonderful garden for 'worship nights' under the stars, we hosted so many more people which was amazing. Paula focused more on discipleship & Mel on operations. Eventually Bali Surf House has had to go on 'pause' due to a variety of circumstances & so currently we do not have a property in Bali. However we'd love you to continue journeying with us in prayer for all that the future the holds...
Currently Paula is in based in Bali & Mel is in the island of Lanzarote, Spain.
